Thing 8: Wikis

That cool how the Wikis work. Is almost like chatting online but on the website. I still think calling each other such as 3 or 4 way call. Or set a meeting. Is just to much. Meeting up or making a phone call is a lot easy and faster. I don't have time to do all these thing on the net.

What did you find interesting about the wiki concept?

I like the idea everyone can edit and save. Allowing everyone view the page, as well.

What types of applications within schools and professional organizations might work well with a wiki?

Website. Such as myself. As a website design it make it alot easy for myself and others to edit and save time.

Many teachers/faculty "ban" Wikipedia as a source for student research. What do you think of the practice of limiting information by format?

Because anyone can access and make change to it.
